On December 16, 2024 Harvard club members and friends had the pleasure of meeting Vladimir Verkhoshinskiy, Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Alfa-Bank and Member of the Supervisory board of Alfa-Group.
Before Mr. Verkhoshinskiy was appointed CEO of Alfa-Bank in 2018, he held various senior positions at VTB Group and Bank of Moscow, was member and chaired several Supervisory boards. Vladimir is Independent Member of the Board of Directors of CIAN Plc.
According to the TOP-1000 Russian managers Association Rating Mr. Verkhoshinskiy was named Russia’s best banking CEO five years in 2019 – 2023, and twice in 2020 and 2022 Vladimir was recognized as the best Russia’s CEO. Mr. Verkhoshinskiy holds Master of Business Administration and Public Management Program degrees from Stanford University.
The conversation focused on Vladimir’s thoughts on how to be a successful top manager in the current context, his management principles, as well as issues of the Russian economy and its development prospects.
